Apprenticeship
Applications are accepted during specific Application Periods, as determined by the Apprentice Program. Information will be placed on our Elk Grove Village page.
Entry Process
- Applicant must be at least 17 years of age to apply.
- Each candidate will need to fill out an application online. A link will be posted on our website www.mactc.org.
- During the application period, the applicant will need to complete the online application, upload all required documents, and submit a $25 Non-Refundable Application processing fee (Credit or Debit Card accepted).
- If you fail to complete the application and submit the $25 non-refundable processing fee during the application period, your online application will be voided.
- Veterans only: DD214 Form also needs to be submitted.
- Once those requirements are completed, the applicant will be given the testing dates to gain entry into our Pre-Apprenticeship Program.
Prior to starting a class, applicant must:
- Pass a drug test
- Be physically able to perform the work of a trade
A recommendation letter from a signatory contractor or Local Union is not required to apply for our Pre-Apprenticeship Program.
If you are a Military Veteran, you may be eligible for expedited entry

You do not need prior experience working on a job site or with hand tools or machinery.
