Apprenticeships at This Location

Requirements:

  • Be 17 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or officially sealed High School Transcripts (minimum 8 credits)
  • Have a valid Driver’s License or government issued State ID
  • Original Social Security card or a receipt showing duplicate card has been applied for or official IRS document confirming ITIN #
  • Submit a $25.00 non-refundable application processing fee – credit/debit card
  • Pass a drug test
  • Must be physically able to perform work of the trade

Applying for a General Carpentry or Concrete Form Builders (CFB)

Apprenticeship

Applications are accepted during specific Application Periods, as determined by the Apprentice Program – Information will be placed on the Elk Grove Village page

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicant must be at least 17 years of age to apply.
  • Each candidate will need to fill out an application online. A link will be posted on our website www.mactc.org.
  • During the application period, the applicant will need to complete the online application, upload all required documents, and submit a $25 Non-Refundable Application processing fee (Credit or Debit Card accepted).
  • If you fail to complete the application and submit the $25 non-refundable processing fee during the application period, your online application will be voided.
    • Veterans only: DD214 Form also needs to be submitted.
  • Once those requirements are completed, the applicant will be given the testing dates to gain entry into our Pre-Apprenticeship Program.

Prior to starting a class, applicant must:

  • Pass a drug test
  • Be physically able to perform the work of a trade

A recommendation letter from a signatory contractor or Local Union is not required to apply for our Pre-Apprenticeship Program.

You do not need prior experience working on a job site or with hand tools or machinery.
