Applying for a General Carpentry Apprenticeship

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Driver’s Licenses
• Social Security Card
• Birth Certificate
• High School Diploma/GED Certificate/ or a copy of your sealed Official Transcripts
• Must be physically able to perform work of the trade

Entry Process

Obtain a sponsorship letter from a signatory contractor or Local Carpenters Union

Complete a drug screen and physical

What to Expect from our Apprenticeship Program

– On-the-job and classroom learning

– Attend classroom instruction every 3-4 months

– 5,200 job site hours and 16 classes, approximately 4 years
