Applying for an Apprenticeship
At the Topeka Kansas location, apprentices will learn various skills used for building houses, commercial buildings, concrete structures, and industrial facilities. They will learn to work with building materials such as wood, drywall, metal studs, and fasteners commonly used on construction job sites. Carpenter apprentices will be exposed to many aspects of the trade, working toward mastering their skills.
Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Must pass a drug test

Indenturing Process
Beginning the indenturing process:
- You must secure employment and obtain a letter of intent from a signatory contactor
- The Contractor must complete a Letter of Intent to Hire on company letterhead signed by a Company Representative
- Set up an appointment with the office (816) 960-8188 to complete the membership agreements, program application process and pass a drug test (at the training center’s expense).
- You may take the test one time only.
You will need to bring the following:
- Letter of Intent
- Driver’s License
- Social Security Card
- $50 permit fee (cash or check only)
- High school diploma/GED/HiSet (if obtained)
Office: 7:30AM to 3:30PM Monday- Friday
Training: 6:30AM to 4:00PM Tuesday – Friday
