As the coronavirus situation continues to evolve, we know it is at the top of the mind for our members. We are monitoring this situation daily, and, as we do with any unusual event, we will watch what’s happening locally and adjust business operations and policies as needed. As of May 4, 2020, our training centers are open for students. All people entering one of our training centers must have a face covering and wear it at all times. All scheduled Apprentice and Skill Advancement classes will be running as scheduled. Please call in to cancel any scheduled class if you are sick. We are asking our members to NOT come to our facilities if they are sick.
We are following the CDC’s lead in informing our employees and members of the importance of preventing the spread of this virus at our centers. For more information on this, view this Covid-19 Fact Sheet from the Chicago Health Department.
First and foremost, we are taking preventive measures to keep our schools clean and maintain a healthy environment. Our maintenance staffs are performing frequent environmental cleaning and disinfecting throughout the buildings. We have added hand sanitizer stations in our facilities to prevent possible contamination or transfer. Travel for all Instructors and/or Staff has been suspended for the next 60 days.
We ask that members STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK, someone in the family is sick or have been exposed to someone that has been sick in the past 2 weeks. Stay home until you are free from fever (100.4 F or greater), signs of a fever, and any symptoms for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicine. Avoid close contact with people if they appear sick. When here, wash your hands frequently using sanitizer, avoid touching your face and please cover your cough or sneeze. All of these measures will help prevent the spread of Covid-19. These are similar to the same precautions when it is flu season.
If we are required to close down a facility/facilities, all members will be notified via Constant Contact, information posted on our website and updated information will be passed along when available by the same means.
