Acoustical Ceiling Installer

Acoustical ceiling installers are responsible for installing and repairing suspended or acoustic ceilings in both residential and commercial buildings. Acoustical installers hang the ceiling systems with wires from the interior ceilings to fit into a metal grid system. Duties include measuring and cutting tiles and panels, securing them in place and ensuring a smooth finish. The installer reads blueprints to determine where to install each type of acoustical ceiling and may also be required to patch and repair existing ceilings.
