Applying for an Apprenticeship
- At the Springfield Missouri location, apprentices will learn various skills used for building houses, commercial buildings, concrete structures, and industrial facilities. They will learn to work with building materials such as wood, drywall, metal studs, and fasteners commonly used on construction job sites. Carpenter apprentices will be exposed to many aspects of the trade, working toward mastering their skills.Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Must pass a drug test

- After filling out the application, one of our outreach specialists will contact you to answer any questions and further explain the process of joining the apprenticeship.
Indenturing Process
Beginning the indenturing process:
- Obtain a job with a signatory contractor and obtain a letter of intent on company letterhead signed by a representative of the company
- After contacting the contractor willing to commit to your employment, you will need to contact the Springfield Missouri Training Center to schedule a time to come and get indentured
- Set up an appointment with the office (417) 848-9927 to complete the membership agreements, program application process and pass a drug test (at the center’s expense)
- You may take the test once
You will need to bring the following:
- Letter of Intent
- Driver’s license
- Social Security Card
- $50 permit fee (cash or check only)
- Take and pass a drug test
- High school diploma/GED/HiSet (if obtained)
Office: 7:30AM to 4:00PM Monday- Friday
Training: 6:30AM to 4:00PM Tuesday – Friday
