The International Training Center has issued a new statement allowing the grace period for expired cards until December 31, 2022.
After considerations and discussions, the CITF will honor the current grace period for Scaffold Erector Qualification and Scaffold Qualification Train the Trainer until December 31, 2022. However, the member or instructor must attend a refresher within the original grace period. For example, if a member’s current grace period ends on March 31, 2022, they cannot participate in a refresher after this date.
Once this grace period expires on January 1, 2023, the following rules will be in effect with no exception:
- Scaffold Erector Qualification is valid for four years and then will expire. There will be no more one year grace period allowed for those that let it expire.
- Scaffold Refresher class will only update those Qualifications that have not expired. The Refresher class will renew the Qualification for another four years.
If you allow your Scaffold Erector Qualification to expire, you will need to retake the entire course over again. No Refresher is allowed for expired Qualifications.
Please check your expiration dates and sign up for a Refresher prior to the month that it will expire.
